Knife Blade Sharpening Jig Tormek SVM-45. The Knife Jig that Turns Your Tormek Sharpening System T-7, T-4, T-3, etc. into a Professional Knife Sharpener.

One of the handiest uses for a Tormek Sharpening System is the sharpening of knives. And this SVM-45 Knife Sharpening Jig makes it fast, simple, and even fun! It attaches to your Tormek Sharpening System (T-7, T-4, T-3, and SuperGrind systems), and is both inspired in design, and versatile in use. The universal support can be used both horizontally or vertically, and it handles a wide range of knife sizes (the limitations are a minimum blade width of 14mm (9/16”) and minimum blade length of 2 3/8”). Wait, you have smaller knives? No problem – we also make an optional attachment (Tormek SVM-00) that owners of smaller knives will love. Either way, this knife sharpening jig will do the job you want it to do – give your knives and blades a consistent, finely honed edge, time after time. Almost any shape can be worked on, as the universal support will allow you to follow the blade’s curve. For sharpening knives, it gets no better than this jig.

Sharpen a variety of knives with ease using the SVM-45 knife jig. This jig is made to work with Tormek's T-7 and T-3 signature tool-sharpening systems, and it allows you to sharpen and hone most standard knives along with carver's draw knives. A knob fits the jig to the thickness of your knife, while your system's universal supports lets you follow the shape of the edge on the grindstone.

Works Easily with Your Tormek Sharpening System The SVM-45 knife jig is simple to use. Adjust the jig to the thickness of your knife by turning the knob. Set the universal support of your Tormek sharpening system, and rest the jig freely on the support so that you can follow the curve of the blade on the grindstone. Lift the knife handle when grinding the tip of the blade.

Once you've sharpened one side, simply turn the jig around and grind the other side. Finally, hone away the burr and polish the bevel on your leather honing wheel to achieve a razor-sharp blade.
